Students celebrate “Methodist Education Week” in Ghana

The Methodist Church Ghana promotes the theme “Discipleship: Teaching Everyone to Live Like Jesus” during the “Education Week” (March 24-28, 2021) with an emphasis on public health in Ghana. As part of its program, the Church encouraged its schools to involve students in clean-up activities with the educational purpose of showing the connection between sanitation and health. The Methodist Church has also promoted the public health guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Methodist Educational Unit (MEU) in Accra encouraged its students to participate in special cleaning activities during the Education Week as a way to teach them to practice hygiene and the sanitizing of their surroundings to avoid outbreaks of cholera, malaria, dengue fever, and also COVID-19.
