March 2021 marks One Year of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared that the outbreak of the SARS-COV-2 virus and the onset of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) had reached worldwide proportions and was officially defined as a “global pandemic.” On March 11, 2021, the official statistics indicated the following global figures:

  • 118,357,116 cases of COVID-19 infection worldwide;
  • 2,625,729 deaths worldwide;

The United States and Brazil have been leading the list of the most affected countries in the world. Hopefully, the vaccination process has started and IAMSCU has been discussing how schools, colleges, theological seminaries, and universities can be supporting this process.
